DVM Matt Fraker

Dr. Matt Fraker is the owner of The Prairie Oak Veterinary Center. Dr. Fraker was born and raised in Bloomington, Illinois. Dr. Fraker attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana where was accepted into their Veterinary Program after his junior year of undergrad and graduated from the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 1992. He spent eight years as an associate and an owner at the Town and Country Animal Hospital before starting the Prairie Oak Veterinary Center on March 11, 2000. Dr. Fraker serves on the board of directors for the ParkLands Foundation helping them to locate and acquire new properties; for the American Birding Association where he serves as Chairperson for the Recording Standards and Ethics Committee and is a member of their Development Committee; and for the Bloomington Country Club where he has served as Entertainment Chairperson for years. His outside interests are conservation, birdwatching, Wyoming, and doing native restorations out on the "farm" north of Carlock.

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

DVM Christine (Tsyiak) Davis

Dr. Christine (Tysiak) Davis attended University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for her undergraduate degree and veterinary school.

 

She graduated The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2004 and began working at Prairie Oak Veterinary Center that same year!

 

Dr. Davis's family consists of two daughters, Alyssa and Evelyn and her husband Tim, along with her three dogs and two cats. She enjoys an array of activities outside of work including arts and crafts, crocheting, hunting, fishing and spending time with her family.

DVM Jami Walsh

Dr. Jami Walsh knew at a very young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She grew up on a farm where her family now raises Black Angus cattle. While growing up, her farm was home to pigs, horses, and chickens as well as cats and dogs. In result, Dr. Walsh has had a lifelong love for animals. Her members include her husband, Andy, who is the principal at Olympia Middle School, her son Noah, and her daughter Lily.

 

Her three four- legged kids including her beloved senior cat, Macy, goofy dog, Cash and newest member, a chinchilla named Chili .

Dr. Walsh graduated from the University of Illinois Veterinary teaching hospital in 2005. Prior she spent her undergraduate years at Illinois State University in Normal. When she's away from the clinic, Dr. Walsh enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, reading, and watching sports
